17. The number of new coronavirus cases reported in Thailand at Thursday’s press briefing, but, as for the past 10 days, all the cases involved Thais who had just returned from overseas and already were in government quarantine.
There again were no cases of locally transmitted Covid-19.
Dr. Taweesin Wissanuyothin, a spokesman of the Centre of Covid-19 Situation Administration, said 13 of the 17 cases were Thais who had returned from Kuwait and were in quarantine in Bangkok.
Two more cases arrived from Qatar and were in state quarantine in Samut Prakan.
Two others returned from Saudi Arabia and entered the kingdom through the Padang Besar checkpoint. They were placed in state quarantine in Songkhla.
The death toll remains at 58. Total recovered cases were recorded at 2,968 and 75 coronavirus patients are being treated at hospitals.
