Coronavirus Covid-19 Update Thailand Herald

After two days of zero coronavirus cases reported earlier this week, a flood of new returnees has brought a flood of new infections in quarantine centers.

The Center for Covid-19 Situation Administration on Friday reported 17 new instances of Covid-19, bringing Thailand’s official tally to 3,376 with 145 active cases in hospitals.

The daily number of cases jumped to the highest in 70 days after Thai citizens returning from overseas were tested positive for the coronavirus in the last 24 hours, 15 back from India and one each from the US and Australia.

These new patients were placed under the mandatory quarantine when they were tested for the virus.

Thailand has no domestically transmitted coronavirus case for 81 days.
