Coronavirus Covid-19 Update Thailand Herald

Thailand on Friday confirmed 11 new Covid-19 cases – all in quarantine – that raised the country’s total to 3,076.

All of the new cases were returnees from Kuwait and were already under state quarantine.

Spokesman for the Center for Covid-19 Situation Administration Dr. Taweesin Visanuyothin said the death toll remained at 57. Total recovered cases reached 2,945 and 74 coronavirus patients are being treated in hospitals.

Most Thai returnees from Kuwait are of working age and have mild symptoms or show no symptoms.

He said there are no new locally transmitted cases, good news as the country is going to start its third round of restriction easing.
