18-Month Fugitive Nabbed for 2019 Rape of Chinese Woman in Bangkok

Bangkok police captured a man wanted for allegedly raping a Chinese woman in her Bang Kapi apartment last year.

Nimmit Siriwattapong, 37, was apprehended outside an apartment house in Lat Phrao on Monday.

He had been on the run since March of last year after allegedly breaking into a woman’s apartment in Hua Mak while nude and forcing himself upon her after saying he wanted to have sex.

The victim identified Mimmit for whom an arrest warrant was issued April 24, 2019.

The suspect denied the charge.
