Pattaya Music Festival Set for 4 Nov., Dec. Weekends

50 artists to play stages on Pattaya, Jomtien beaches; Naklua and Koh Larn

Pattaya officials announced a month-long Pattaya Music Festival, with four weekends of concerts that have yet to be approved by national health authorities.

Unlike previous years, the 2021 festival will take place two days a week on four weekends in November and December, all after foreign tourists are expected to be allowed to visit the city without quarantine.

The plabill includes more than 50 artists including Polycot, Zom Marie, The Toys, F.Hero, Lipta, Singto and more playing on Pattaya and Jomtien beaches and, for the first time, in Naklua and Koh Larn.

The first weekend of Nov. 5-6 will be exclusive to three stages along Pattaya Beach. Nov. 12-13 will have stages in Jomtien and on Nuay Beach on Koh Larn.

The December 3-4 shows will play out exclusively at Lan Po Public Park. The Dec. 10-11 finale weekend will have only one stage on Beach and Central roads.

In addition to a battery of virus-control measures, the music festival will prohibit street vendors and hawkers and ban drones from the air above the stages.

The music festival is the kickoff to two months of event Pattaya City Hall has planned, but has not yet won approval for from the Center for Covid-19 Situation Administration. The CCSA likely will give its blessing, but could put restrictions on crowd management.

Pattaya will organize its annual Loy Krathong events Nov. 19 and the Pattaya International Fireworks Festival Nov. 26-27. Then in December, Pattaya anticipates reopening the Naklua Walk & Eat Market and hosting the year-end Pattaya Countdown.
