German Alzheimer’s Sufferer Now Missing 5 Days in Phuket

A 76-year-old German woman with dementia has now been missing for five days in Phuket, with authorities expanding their search to Sirinat National Park.

Barbara Elisabeth Monika Glag Lange was last seen on CCTV cameras walking on a road in Mai Khao Subdistrict after leaving her hotel in Thalang District May 9.

Thalong police said they believe Lange has Alzheimer’s Disease and this is the second time she has wandered away, after being found on Nai Yang Beach last month.

Anyone who sees Lange or has information about her is urged to call the Tourist Assistance Center at 062-880-8112 or 084-079-6279.

Thalong District Chief Bancha Tanooin said Lange had gone for a walk and then, he believes, couldn’t remember her way back.

She was last seen wearing a blue jacket and tucked white shirt with black pants.
