The organizer of the “Jennie Lily Daimod Thasodchuen” concert acknowledged a charge from Nakhon Si Thammarat’s Cha-uat District for failing to implement disease-control measures at the packed event.
The prosecution followed criticisms on the concert in Cha-uat District in the southern province on July 25 as concertgoers forsaked mask-wearing and no disease-control measures were implemented to prevent spread of the coronavirus.
Cha-uat police chief Pol. Col. Thian Baltip said local authorities had warned the organizer to comply with disease-control measures, but to no avail.
The organizer was charged with violating sections 9 and 18 of the executive decree on public administration in emergency situations. A local health official filed the complaint with police and the organizer confessed to the offence.
