Northeast villages have been hit hard again by another tropical storm as flash floods and landslides roll across Issan.
Nearly 100 villages in Loei Province were affected by torrential rain and flooding brought on by Tropical Storm Hegos as it moved across southern China Thursday morning.
The storm is expected to weaken as the low-pressure cell in southern China.
Army troops and rescuers were mobilized to provide help and assist people to evacuate from severely affected areas.
In other provinces, heavy rains have caused overflowing of waterways including Mekong River in Nakhon Phanom Province.
Meanwhile in Nong Khai, officials inspected crocodile farms out of fear that possible flooding would set the reptiles free.
They found the farms with more than 170 crocodiles met safety standard and precautions.
